Assistive technology (AT)
Assessment and implementation of devices and equipment (AT) that enable independence and participation in daily activities. Assistive technology including manual & power wheelchairs, scooters, beds, seating, pressure care & 24hr positioning, home automation, hoists & manual handling and AT for self-care tasks.
Home modifications
Detailed design and coordination of structural and environmental changes to your home to improve safety, accessibility, and function. Home modifications services provided include minor and complex modifications along with future planning for long term needs. This could include rails, ramps and access modifications, along with major bathroom, kitchen, laundry modifications.
Complex seating and positioning
Targeted assessments and recommendations for complex postural support needs, including customised seating and mobility solutions. .
Capacity building & life skills
Working with you to build independence and participation in activities that are important to you. Capacity building: Working with you to build your skills to live independently and complete tasks that are important to you. Some examples could include: Showering, preparing meals, budgeting, going shopping and other life skills for roles that are important to you. We can also assist with Functional Capacity Assessments including assessments and reports for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
Falls prevention and home safety
Home safety and falls prevention strategies that work to help reduce your risk of falling at home and in the community. Advice and recommendations for maximising your safety and independence into the future, helping to keep you doing and living where you want to be.
Manual handling & moving safely
Manual handling and moving safely assessments to enable you to move safely in your home. We provide education and training to you and your support network regarding maximsing your safety and comfort, whilst supporting you to do what you need to do.
